The Sixth Edinburgh Gathering
Once more we met in Edinburgh. To celebrate birthdays. To celebrate friendship.
This year's theme was "The Summer of Love", fifty years on. So, we dressed up, we splothered, we ate and drunk. We sang together. We had CAKE.
On the second day we went on a trip on the Borders Railway to Abbotsford in the Scottish Borders, the home of Sir Walter Scott. We also visited Hopetoun House, an Adam mansion by the Firth of Forth and saw the 3 bridges in South Queensferry, the old railway bridge, the road bridge and the new one soon to be inaugurated.
We saw art exhibitions and had cocktails and did the crossword together. Deelfi and I are lucky to have so many good friends and the best birthday parties ever. Thank you all for coming.
