The Ninth Edinburgh Gathering. May 2022.
This gathering was delayed for two years by the pandemic so it was really special to be together again.
We celebrated with cocktails in the Johnny Walker rooftop bars, had our usual day long splother fest and the last day we went on a boat trip to Inchcolm Island. The picture above is Inchcolm Abbey, drawn by the talented AuntyCraft.
Just as the party was about to start we got a flower delivery. A beautiful bouquet from EestiGallnOz. The magic of the QCC which brings people together from all over the world.
She was worried about missing out, so she wrote this poem:

Edinburgh FOMO
There was movement in the Caff for the word had got around
The Scot from Edinburgh had called a meet;
Where cruciverbalists would chat, and cocktails would be downed
And comestibles and CAKE! put on to eat.
Folk would come from far and wide to splother and party--
All welcome in the House of our McSpanny;
Newcomers would cast aside their insecurities
But maintain respectful awe of our Welsh Granny!
There was movement Below-The-Line for the word had got around
—Gathering number nine in fact it was--
Where Puzzle Pals would dine on a Quickie world-renowned!
(Perhaps next year for this Eesti Gal In Oz?)
