The Tenth Edinburgh Gathering
While eating my last breakfast kipper today on the Isle of Arran, I got to thinking of the wonderful days we've had this May in Scotland, and how, if not for spanishscot's now famous Gatherings, these renewed visits to the country and our annual explorations would never have happened.
Funny the turns life takes. In 2019, I was like many of us, interested in joining the gathering, but afraid to make those steps into the unknown, somewhat intimidated by the thought of socialising with long term QCCers. But, along with Kath55, I took the plunge and have never looked back. I think Kath and I were the most recent additions of regular QCCers to the Edinburgh gathering. It would be nice to meet a few more of you, here or there.
This year, with covid intervening, it has been my third May gathering, and I felt quite tearful (last year too) on saying our farewells and leaving the group.
Here is spanishscot's compilation of some of our photos. We cannot thank you enough ... and all who came, for the company and entertainment.
